Eppe4 Posted August 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Can someone tell me how long the drive is from the port of Livorno to Cinque Terre? We've been advised that all 5 towns will be open by next fall.

rebeccalouiseagain Posted August 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2012 It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the first of the 5 villages. If you are planning to visit- I doubt you will see all five. My favorite experience was walking the "walk of love" between Monterosso and Riomaggiore. I've never been to Corniglia though and I hear that is lovely. Rebeccalouise, Thank you so much for the information. We'll put all of our efforts into seeing as many of the villages as possible. If I can ever be of any help, don't hesitate to ask. Rare Hlitner Posted August 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Agree with all above :). And it really is difficult to do all 5 villages on a normal port day from Livorno. In fact, even when we have gone there on our own (we do a lot of driving trips in Italy) we seldom try to do all 5 in a day. Although it can be done, it becomes somewhat of a marathon and does not give you enough time to really whats there, have a nice lunch, hike some of the trails (they connect the villages), etc. Hank
