Best Beach for this???

We are looking for the best beach that is with a resort where we can eat, rent chairs and umbrellas, use the restaurant and bar at the resort, etc.

 

We are not big drinkers, so all-inclusive isn't important.

 

Any thoughts or recommendations??

My recommendation would be Anse Cochon, Ti Kaye Village. They have a day pass, sold through their dive outfit, Island Divers. It includes round trip transportation via their dive boat, use of lounge chair and umbrella, lunch at the restaurant right on the beach, a drink (there is a bar attached to the restaurant where more drinks can be purchased), use of snorkel gear, and use of kayaks, if desired. Anse Cochon is one of the best snorkeling locations on the island, if you're interested. We've done the day package 5 times, and are booked again for our visit in January. Google Island Divers St. Lucia, and you'll find all the relevant information.

I would second jlmolner's suggestion - Ti Kaye/Anse Cochon is an excellent location, not too far from the port, so you don't spend loads of time just getting there and back, great food, beautiful beach, etc. Great option. The only drawback is you don't get to see the Pitons - which St. Lucia is famous for, but you shuld see them from a bit of a distance on sailaway. Enjoy!

You're right about the Pitons - everyone should see them at least once! We're lucky to have many cruises to St. Lucia under our belts, with multiple opportunities to enjoy more than the beach. Furst time visitors should really take the opportunity to so an island tour. St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. Radiance of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas used to cruise down the coast from Castries after they left in the evening and then do a 360 in between the Pitons - a very cool experience.

Catamaran or sea tours are great ways to see them, the views from the water is stunning. A land/sea tour combo is excellent as you get to see a lot of the island from both perspectives - banana plantations, foods, land view points, rainforest, volcano, waterfall and then some beach time and cruise back up the coast by see for bat cave, secluded coves, Marigot Bay, etc. Spencer Ambrose, Son of Man, Herod's, Serenity TVL, etc. all offer land/sea tour combos. Cosol does an excellent land tour which includes a water taxi to the beach and around the Pitons. Joe Knows, son of Man, Serenity, spencer, etc all also do sea tours both ways.

For catamarans, Endless Summer, Bateau Mygo, Carnival, Mango Tango, SeaSpray, etc all offer cat tours.

Not sure really what is available. We will be visiting on Christmas Day and travelling with my 17 year old son, who will be 18 on the 28th dec .

We were thinking about a day pass somewhere not too far from the cruise port. I guess the fact that its Christmas Day might limit options also?

Most all tours and such will be available Christmas Day, along with Taxis for personal tours, etc.

If you are wanting an AI resort, that will be tougher as most are adults only - and they usually check IDs, although not aevery time. You could contact Rendezvous direct and see about age.

Ti Kaye is great - their day pass is $75 and includes lunch, a cocktail, beach chair, kayaks and snorkel equipment, etc. You can check more at their website.

Reduit Beach is excellent, about 30 minutes from the port. Chairs/umbrellas for rent, watersports for hire - all sorts, lots of restaurants along both the beach and walking distance from the beach, beach vendors with drinks and such - great place to spend the day.
