I see in the boy voyage gifts you can get $20 worth of slot machine coins for $10. Has anyone purchased this? Can you use on any slot machine or just a few. Thinking of getting but not sure if worth it since it states terms and conditions apply but then it does not state any.

Yes we have purchased these and slotplaycoupon credits ($50 for $25 slotplaycoupons.com) and yes the credits can be used on any machine. But you cannot cash out the credits - just the winnings on them - I think that is what they mean by terms and conditions.

This is different than what the OP is referring to. OP is referring to the Bon Voyage section on the NCL website.

We purchase them every time. We have been able to use them on any of the slot machines on each cruise. I have never seen any machine say that you couldn't use them in it nor did anyone at any of the desk that you obtain your card from state that you could only use them on certain machines.

To me, paying $10 and getting a free $10 (per player) is a deal no matter what if you are going to play anyhow. Free money is good money. :D

OP is talking about the buy $20 slot machine play for only $10. Not the $50 for $25 from slot play online. :)

Can someone explain the $25 for $50 to me? If I am on a slot machine, and I have downloaded $10 of my $50, and I win $50..what happens to the rest of the downloaded $10 if I cash out? Do I only get $40 back?

If I keep on playing, once I have won the $50, does the machine know to use whatever of my $10 I have left..and once that is gone, say I didn't win any further...do I then get the full $50 when I cash out?

I can't believe how complicated it sounds to me, if so.

I think you are making it harder than it is.......the card that you stick in the machine keeps track of how much money "runs" through the machine...once you have run $50 through the machine, you can cash out. It is also not in one "sitting" either.

For example....it let me play $10 at a machine and once my winnings were in excess of $10 net, I could cash that out but still had $40 on my card to play. You can't just play $5 on a machine and cash out the other $45. Does that help?

I want to say that we did have to use a min of $5 per machine so you could not say plan $1 on one machine then switch to another.

When in doubt, hit "Cash Out". Any monies that you have downloaded and still need to play will remain on the machine, and any winnings will print out. After cashing out, as many times as you wish, and seeing the balance on the machine is finally zero (as in, you have played all promotional money downloaded), you can consolidate all your winning vouchers by putting them all into one machine, then cashing out the combined amount on one voucher to take to the cashier... hope that makes sense.

So, in that example, if you d/l $10, and if your winnings had been $25, what would you have cashed out..would you have cashed out only $15, because you 'pay back' the $10?

Oops, forgot another question. Can I purchase one every day, or as many times a day whenever I go to the casino? This past year is the first I hear of this promo on these boards. Thanks for your help.

No you can use the pay $25 get $50 I think once every 14 days. It is one per person...no minors.

This thread seems confusing.

There are TWO different offers being talked about here. One if from the Bon Voyage section on NCL.com. This offers $20 of slot play for $10.

http://www2.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/bon-voyage-gifts

The other is from slotplaycoupons.com. They offer $50 slot play for $25.

http://slotplaycoupons.com/default.php?destination=Norwegian+Cruise+Line

These are both really good deals and if you are going to play the slot machines you should take advantage of them.

Not quite. Here's an example on a $1 bet machine: If you d/l $10, spin once ($1) and win $25 on that spin, then your machine will have a credit balance of $34 - ($10 downloaded, minus $1 spin, plus $25 won). If you hit "cash out", you will get a voucher for $25 (your winnings) and $9 credit will stay on the machine that you still have to play. To further the example: you download $10, playing $1 per spin. You have to spin 10 times (10x$1) and anything left is you winnings to take out. You are overcomplicating it, just spin until you think the downloaded amount is used up (in this example 10 times at $1 per spin) and hit "cash out". Anything that comes out is yours to keep, any credit that remains on the machine has to be used up. You can cash out on every spin if you like, then just reinsert all the vouchers to add up to one larger amount and cash that out as a single voucher.

ALL promotional play (whether purchased through NCL or Slotplaycoupons.com) is ONE PER PERSON PER CRUISE.

Thank you so much! I actually understand now. While I bought the 25/$50 and just did it online, my friend bought the $20/$10 and talked to someone from NCL. She was told that whenever she cashed out, if she had winnings, the $10 she got free, would be deducted even if she had spent the entire $20 on the machine. So I was pretty confused.

I'm glad you understand. Fishbait explained it the best and I think your friend was misinformed.

From what others have posted..you only play what you d/l to each machine. If you d/l $10 to one machine, you have to use all of the $10 up before you can move on.

If you purchase the one that is $25 get $50, do you have to play all 50 worth or can you just do increments of like $10 at a time, then cash out if you have winnings and save the other $40 for another machine?

  • 6 months later...

Old thread, I realize that. I have a question.

I went to the site where you pay $25 and get $50 worth of credits. http://slotplaycoupons.com/default.php?destination=Norwegian+Cruise+Line I read the terms and conditions, and it talks about how they can AUTOMATICALLY charge your credit/debit card for "subscription fees". Here... let me just paste it:

4. Payment / Fee

Sites may have periodic subscription fees that are defined by the owners of the site at the time of the initial enrollment for subscription. The member is responsible for such fees according to the terms of the site. Once a member has the ability to access the site using the e-ticket assigned to the member, subscription fees become non-refundable.

And then there was this:

5. Automatic Recurring Billing (If Selected By You On The Sign Up Page)

As determined by the content provider of the site, subscription fees may be automatically renewed at the end of the original term selected, for a similar period of time, unless notice is received from the subscriber seven (7) days before renewal. All special introductory offer Members shall be exempt from the 7 day notification requirement, but subscriber must notify EC Suite directly 24 hours prior to the end of the trial/special offer period in order to cancel automatic renewal. All trial/special offer memberships shall renew at the stated membership rate. The maximum term of this agreement is 100 months.

Unless and until this agreement is cancelled in accordance with the terms hereof, subscriber hereby authorizes EC Suite to charge subscriber's chosen payment method to pay for the ongoing cost of membership. Subscriber hereby further authorizes EC Suite to charge subscriber's chosen payment method for any and all additional purchases of services and entertainment provided by the site.

These 2 terms are bothering me. I don't want to get into a situation where they are charging me fees to use the site. It sounds like unless I "unsubscribe", or cancel my membership, or whatever they call it, that they can continue to charge me fees automatically.

Also, what is the "catch"?? Why would they just give away a free $25 to everybody? What do they get out of it?

Thanks!!!!

Where did you find this??? We had no problems purchasing & using these last year in November.............BUT you do have to gamble them...you cannot cash them out...............in other words you can't put your card in...then cash it out to get the money.........they are to be used as slot play. What do they get out of it??? Well, they know you are going to gamble the entire amount....not just the $25 they give you but the $25 you spent for the free $25.

Purchase a Slot Play Coupon at SlotPlayCoupons.com

You can print your coupon online immediately after your purchase.

Take the coupon to the sponsoring casino.

When you get to the casino, go to the player's club and tell them that you want to redeem your Slot Play Coupon that you bought at SlotPlayCoupons.com. If you are already a member of the casinos player's club, great! If not, you will need to join (player's club membership is always free). Then simply show the coupon code to the player's club staff member and ask them to credit your account.

The casino will then contact us to make sure that your coupon is valid (this only takes a minute).

Once approved, the casino will credit the Slot Play amount you purchased to your player's club account.

You can then insert your player's club card in any slot machine (or machines) at the casino and download the credits to begin playing.

As a condition of purchase, "SPC" requires your permission to send you administrative and promotional emails. We will send you information regarding your account activity and purchases, as well as updates about our products and promotional offers. You can opt-out of our promotional emails anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our email correspondences

Yes, thank you. I might not have been clear in my earlier question. I know HOW the card works, I am just wondering about the "terms and conditions" that I quoted. I don't want to find out later that they have charged an automatic renewal of the "subscription fees", as it states in condition #5.

Where I found it was -- I went through the entire process on the website http://slotplaycoupons.com/default.php?destination=Norwegian+Cruise+Line of selecting a ship name (Jewel), putting in mine and my husband's names and ages, placing the ordered items in my cart, and then "checking out". I did not enter any credit card information, because it was at this point when I saw the little tiny link to "terms and conditions", from which I quoted #4 and #5 above.

That's all. I do understand how the card works once you're on the ship. Just being cautious and skeptical I guess. ;)

I have never been charged any "renewal fees" or anything like that from the website. I get occasional emails from them, when they add a new casino or have a special offer, but not much spam at all.

The "catch" is that they know you will play the entire $50, therefore spending at least $25 of your own money. Plus, a casino is after ONE thing, getting you there and taking your money. MOST people don't stop at the original $50. Once you're in the casino, having a cocktail, having fun, you stay and spend more money - and you might not have ever stepped into the casino had you not had the "coupon"....

I used this promotion in january. Had no problems with it and have not received any emails from them.

A little info on how you should use the promotion. only enter a small amount on each machine. ie you go to one slot machine and you enter $5. Keep track of how many times you play and once you have played the $5, you cash out. Those winnings are yours to keep. You can then go up to the cashier and cash in the winning receipt. That was how I did it for my $50. I ended up spending the winnings by giving them to my son (who went through a lot of money) but if I kept my winnings I think I probably would have walked away even.
