tampabrat22 Posted April 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Were going to G. Cayman, costa maya, Cozumel, and we really just want to find a beautiful beach with hammocks and just lounge all day...does a place like this exist?
pazooter Posted April 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Our favorite beach in Cozumel is Chankanaab. This beach is stunning, with free lounge chairs, a tiny restaurant, restrooms, dive shop and many other activities. It's a hugely poplular site. As you come off the ship, you'll walk through the shopping mall, out to the huge taxi stand. Take a taxi to Chankanaab, the cost is about $10. The beach costs $10 per person, but is well worth it. The botanical gardens are included in the price. Enjoy. jean-lynd Posted April 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Costa Maya has hammocks at the pier but the beach is not all that great. We saw a couple of hammocks on the beach in the town of Mahahual which is a couple of miles up the road. Can't gaurantee you will get one because there were not many. In Cozumel there is a new beach called Paradise Beach that also has some hammacks. This beach is free except for food and drink. By the way the admission to Chankanuba has gone up to $12/person. Not sure about Grand Cayman. If you post this same question on the different Ports of Call boards on this site you will probably get a lot more answers. I hope this helps! Rare 1025cruise Posted June 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2015 You dragged up an 11 year old post. I'm guessing the OP has long since cruised.
