lagbunch8 Posted May 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2005 Has anyone been in this cabin or have any imput. Good choice? Thanks! I had 6618 but changed when I heard about the metal balconies(thanks to you all :) ) I like to look out and see ocean even when sitting or in bed. This is my 3rd cruise but I have never been on the hump before.

lagbunch8 Posted August 19, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 19, 2005 On deck 6 the lower part of the balcony is metal not plexi glass like the other decks--you can't see through them. I just like to be able to see out even if I am sitting. But, some people don't find it to be a big deal.

AmberMarie Posted September 16, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2009 We have 6618 and are concerned with not being able to see out when sitting down! We were excited about the hump balconies, but now we are worried...
cb at sea Posted September 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2009 Don't be worried...the plexiglass walls are usually so salt and spray covered, that you can't see through them, either! If you want to ocean gaze, you'll stand at the railing! It's truly not a big deal!
LuvMyVette Posted September 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2009 lagbunch8: DH/I had 8618 on Explorer in 2006 for a B2B cruise. Below are pictures of the cabin. Sea ya!
