cruisun Posted September 9, 2012 #26 Share Posted September 9, 2012 but on Eurodam last Winter the air was so cold and so strong it was unbearable. I do however like the white noise. Maintenance came to my cabin and completely closed the damper on one of the vents. The cabin was still cold and the force of air and noise coming out of the other vent was more than white noise, it was loud! I got used to it but it was not ideal. When sitting on the sofa I had to use a blanket and it was difficult to hear the television. Bottom line.....clearly there are AC issues on many of the HAL ships which I have not experienced or heard about on other lines.
claiream3 Posted September 10, 2012 #27 Share Posted September 10, 2012 If you feel there is a temperature problem, let the front desk know. They will send a maintenance person quite promptly. It took them 30 hours to reach my cabin: reported at 1.45pm Thursday 23rd for an engineer to arrive 7.45pm Friday 24th = 30 hours, and only after several trips to ask when it would be sorted after 1 sleepless night. But we still had a (fan)tastic time :D
