Singing Captains

Recently received an email stating that the captain on our upcoming Coral cruise in November is Fabio Amitrano. We were happy to hear that since he is one of our favorite captains. We've sailed with him several times and always enjoyed the opportunity to chat with him and his wife when she was with him. He's a very friendly and approachable guy and went on some of the tours we were on.

 

He also sings. At the Captain's Circle Party he would sing "Come Back to Sorrento". He would sing with JJ King. We haven't sailed with him in a couple of years, so wonder if he still sings.

 

Are there any other singing captains out there? I think it kind of cool when captains interact with the passengers like that.

We loved sailing with Captain Kent Ringborn on RC, and hearing him sing "welcome to our world" but he retired 7 years ago.

Just got off a Royal Caribbean cruise and Captain Gus played the trumpet...we enjoyed that!

We were on the Coral last August and the Captain sang 'Santa Maria'! What a hoot and welcoming gesture. He took us completely by surprise and it was the first and only time we've experienced this in our 15 cruises. Hope it happens again as it certainly sets a fun atmosphere.
