Vatican to airport

Hi!

Can anyone tell me how much time to allow from a hotel near the Vatican

to the airport? My flight is at 9:50 am. Thanks

If your flight is on a US carrier (United, Delta, American) directly to a US city you will need Terminal 5, where it is recommended you arrive 2.5 - 3 hours prior to your flight time. That would mean arriving at 6:05 - 6:20 AM. At that hour it will take between 30 - 45 minutes by cab from Vatican City.

 

If your flight is on a non-US carrier you should arrive two hours prior, which would mean leaving the Vatican area at between 7 - 7:15 AM in order to be at the airport by 7:50.

I would leave the hotel around 6:10 AM to allow plenty of time at the airport.

Make sure your Delta flight to the USA is operated by Delta. Many of them are actually operated by Alitalia in which case you would not check in at Terminal 5.

Thanks for the info. I decided that I'd need to leave around 6am. My flight is direct to Atlanta, so I believe it is operated by Delta. Is that information listed on the reservation? Seems like I had seen it there.
