Best Bahama Beach

We are going to be in the Bahamas and want to know what the best beach is for families and what is the best mode of transportation to get there from the ship. Suggestions?

I think the best beach is Half Moon Cay, but it's a private island served by Holland America and select Carnival itineraries. Other cruise lines have private beaches or private islands in the Bahamas, but if you aren't talking about those, then you'll have to let us know the port you are talking about (likely Nassau or Freeport).
