Live from the LEGEND II - May 18th

OK...I lied.

Just left Tortola. Seas have been calm all the way down. A good ride for the Atlantic.

We did have a washout in Puerto Rico. Good news is they closed the retractable roof on the ship. We had no plans anyway, so we just swam and never got off the ship. Had a quick shower only in St Thomas and Tortola, so at least we got two beach days in.

Ship as beautiful as ever. Nice and shiny even on the outside. The drydock was a good thing. The closed slide is a bad thing. Making due.

Be back on Saturday.

I've never even seen them close the roof! Sorry about the bad weather.Glad the seas were calm for you. They weren't for us when we left the 5th! Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Pete - just curious - did they ever clean the curtains in your cabin (from our cake that tumbled onto them) last Thanksgiving... We cleaned them as much as we could, and brought it to Bennie's attention (your cabin steward?)

If I were a betting man....:D

Have you had the pleasure of meeting Lobke (supper club hostess) - assuming she is still there? Super nice...

Enjoy (wish I was there!)

Tom

They must have! Room is SPOTLESS! I'm still looking for the chip you left me. AHEM Oh well!

And yes, she is still in the supper club. Had a nice meal there on Monday night, but wish I did it either Tuesday or Wednesday. I had my days off.

Anywho, they sucked me in again, offering a 50% off for the next two hours. But the weathers too nice, so I'm here for as long as I write this. Too many tempting posts, and it'll cost too much!

All I can say is...once you go wrap, you can never go back!

Weather is still great. I have about 6 Ultimate Suntans in me right now, and my reading glasses are in the cabin.

Hate to say this is over in less than 24 hours, but I have it booked again already for next June.

We hit some waves Wednesday night....I guess I jinxed myself. Everyone was talking Thursday morning about the lack of sleep, and the expectation of another 70 foot wave.

I have found two CCers, but never met any others, and I know they're here. They may even be in this cafe, but I'll keep quite. This one lady to my left keeps staring at me. Maybe it's my slurred typing.

So, let me finish out my day, and I'll try to write something up by tomorrow.

And yes, Brett is still here, and he still rots as back as the first time I had him back in 1993. Some people are just not funny, and he's one of them. In fact, I think he's the president of the club. I actually think Mark Hawkins is better than him, if that's possible. He's still doing "If I were not upon the sea", worse than I saw him do it the first time.

So everyone be watching the news tomorrow night. I'll be the one they are dragging off in the morning.

Oh Pete, I thought you were going to ignore us for 8 days!

What happened to the CC Lido Party? Did they ditch you?

Bummer about the weather man, but at least you were able to make the best of it.

Talk to you soon. I'm sorry it's over tomorrow for you, but that makes it closer for me!! Sorry, I'll have a drink in your honor on the 6th though. :D

Wow Pete! I can't believe you're home already.

I'll agree with Tom, and "welcome you home" (sorta) too.

Stop back in with details for us, the 6/6 board has been holding out for you! Good luck with the swaying. That's the worst.

Talk to ya soon!

Did you have Adi for a room stewart?

Are you going to write a review?

I never caught the guys name, but he and his assistant were VERY good. He let me see your room. I will write up something a little later. Right now I'm loading up my pics!

I can;t wait for your review..........

Thinking of finally giving in and doing a cruise out of NY. I haven't done one out of NY since 1988...I hate the cruise ship passenger terminal in NY and so do my parents...they would prefer to fly to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale..........Can you give me any tips on embarkation in NYC.

Yeah. Maybe they caught a peek and ran. JFritz and party were the only ones that showed up. A couple of days later, some girls appraoched me asking if Ii was MrPete. They were scouts for their mom!

Never got to meet Dizzy Ang.

LOL I just had lunch at the State Line Diner or whatever that place is called on 303.

Number one is having patience, and if you really want to get on with ease, just get on after the crowds (3ish). You will simply walk onto the ship. If you're bold, get there at 11:15, to beat the crowds, but you're there. It's not REALLY that bad, and the memory fades quick once you get on the ship.

We were on the lido deck, we looked for you we both tried to remember what you looked like from your picture :( No luck. Next cruise we will make sure to pick a different place to meet up. It was so late and cold by the time we left NY, we just went back to the cabin and watched from the balcony.

I hope you had as good a time as we did. How did you like all that lightning? We got some on video, hopefully it turned out good. I like how the Captain said "it was how you say....a little choppy"

My husband got groped by fun ship Freddy the first day, he was traumatized for the rest of the week :D

We played hold em like we wanted, when there was no sun and at nite, we closed the casino most nights.

Post more later, when we are both more awake :o
