marcmarc2 Posted September 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2012 My latest Cruise Travel came, and I made the mistake of looking at the article on Oceania's Riviera. Conclusion: Oh HECK yeah! So, I went looking here on CC for any info I could find about Oceania for solos, and the most recent comment I came across was from Darcie back in 2010, noting that, basically, Oceania didn't have worthwhile solo pricing policies. It's been a couple years since, and I'm wondering if anyone has been on Oceania solo and/or if anyone would like to chime in on this subject. Thanks! :D
AtMaui Posted September 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2012 I was on the Regatta last year and did meet some solo travelers. I travel with a friend but we both have our own cabins. The problem with Oceania is that they rarely have discounted single supplements. It's usually 200% which makes it a bit high for me. They do on rare occasions have sales (we had one last November) but it doesn't happen often. I do like O and would go on it again but not at 200%. calliopecruiser Posted September 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2012 Like the previous poster, I looked at them when I was looking for my 2013 cruise, but I refuse to pay an extra 100% as a solo passenger. They didn't seem to offer any sales for solo passengers even for last minute travel, so I struck them off my list for future solo cruises. Crystal has the best full-time solo supplement I've seen (i.e. not a limited sale), and Azamara an some other luxury lines have occasional good sales for solo passengers.
