Price Drop on 1/13/13 Freedom

Just rec'd a $300 price drop for our Jan 13th eastern on the Freedom. Our TA confirmed w/ RCCL and rec'd the confirmation this am :D We lost some of our obc ,but the drop was worth it:) Never got this lucky before, one more week and final payment would have gone thru

Wow - good for you - perfect timing! I keep checking (have had luck on our previous cruises) but no price drops yet for Jewel in February. Enjoy!:D

Why do you lose some onboard credit?

Probably the obc was from the TA, and if the price droped the TA gets less money from the comission, so the TA reduced the obc from the original offer based on the higher price of the cruise.

 

I do not know that for sure, but that would be my guess.

 

When the op gets back to you, there might be a different explanation.
