Wheather Question

My DW would like to know if a wrap or a light sweater is needed at night while at sea, she's worried about the wind. We will be travelling from 7/2/05 - 7/16/05.

It will be fine when you are on deck but the air conditioning inside the ship is quite high and we found that a wrap or a sweater was nice for the shows, etc. in the evening.

I use my wrap extensively on the ship since it can really get cold inside.

I would bring one for the dining room. There have been a few times that I went back to the cabin to get a sweater for a show or for some time in the casino. I get cold easily and then it can feel even cooler when I have some sun.

I always take one or two cardigan sweaters on a cruise, and my wife often wears a shawl type thingie in the dining room and the show lounge, both of which are kept pretty cool.

Most ships sell Pashmina shawls in one of the shops for about $10.00. They are beautiful colors and very soft. I used one almost every evening. It is chilly in the dining room and lounges etc.

It would also depend on wheather you are sailing in the Carribbean or in the Baltic! :)

I took two pashmina shawls with me to the Caribbean last July, and they never once left my cabin, it was too warm to use one, day or evening. Never felt cold in the dining rooms, theater, or on deck.

Thank you all for your help. I will let my DW know about the dinning room and lounges, my DW will no doubt take one "just in case". I can't imagine it being needed, but I learned long ago just to go with the flow and let her pack whatever she wants. Makes for a much nicer vacation even if 1/3 of the stuff she brings never leaves the bag.:D
