St Thomas, Busy Day

The day we are scheduled in St Thomas there are 5 ships in port, upwards of 16,000 people. We would like to just do a day at Sapphire snorkling and relaxing but the thought of huge crowds is less than appealing. Would we be better off just taking a snorkling excursion from the ship or can the beach handle this type of day? :confused:

There are so many options so people are going to various beaches and excursions, so Sapphire should be able to handle it.

I would think Sapphire would be great. I've seen Magens Bay be, quite literally, towel-to-towel with not a spare inch of sand available. :eek:

 

5 ships is nothin! But be prepared for crowds & traffic.

When we spent a week at Sapphire we had over 20,000 cruisers on 'ilan and Sapphire never got that bad. Actually remained quite comfortable and quiet as compared to Coki, Magens, and other beaches.
