njhorseman Posted October 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Kings Wharf and Heritage Wharf are the names of the two adjacent quays where cruise ships dock at the Royal Naval Dockyard. Some cruise lines (for example, NCL) don't properly identify at which one their ships are docked. NCL says Kings Wharf in most or all of its written material when in fact NCL ships dock at Heritage Wharf. This is a holdover from the time when Kings Wharf was the only quay at Dockyard, so the names "Dockyard" and "Kings Wharf" were often used interchangeably . Heritage Wharf opened a few years ago, but not everyone at the cruise lines seems to have gotten the message.
