Alcohol Question

We have been on 6 other cruises 5 of them on Carnival and that offer a deal on alcohol, were you can prepay for a bottle of alcohol and they have it in your cabin for you. Does anyone know if they offer this on Princess. We are going on the Carribbean Princess on 12-08-12. Please any help would be great to know. Thanks and Happy Cruising James & Charlene

We preordered some vodka and just in case you are wondering, I did some math. It's a 375ml bottle which is 8.5 shots so assuming you make a drink with one shot, for a $17 bottle of vodka that's about $2 per drink! Of course you'll need to supply mixers but you can carry on tonic, soda, bloody mary mix, anything non alcoholic. And you don't have the guilt/paranoia from smuggling! :rolleyes:

Instead of it being in the cabin, there may be a card announcing the order and asking you to call room service to have it delivered.

I ordered a bottle of wine, and a 6-pack of Diet Coke for the room. Wanted a bottle of Bacardi Gold, but they only have silver, and will not substitute anything on their stock list (we were able to order it on Holland America, and Royal Caribbean), but said we could go to the bar on the ship & buy a bottle of the Gold. Didn't give a price - the Silver is $17.

We have always ordered on Carnival also. Just remember ... the bottles from Carnival are 1 liter where as I noticed that the bottles from Princess are 375ml.

 

And we are on the same cruise!:D

This is really pointless though as the pre-cruise price is exactly the same as the price to order it while on the cruise. And as someone noted they only leave you a voucher for the liquor. You will still need call to order it once you are in the room anyway.
