IamaTexasCruiser Posted October 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2012 how does it work? example: 9A vs 9C the higher the alpha the better the category (so the 9C would be better in this senario)? or the other way around (the 9A would be better)? amc80 Posted October 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2012 The letter has to do with the location on the ship. Example- 8M is an Aft balcony, which is considered better than a standard balcony (such as 8B). Higher the letter, the better the location. But better is subjective. 1/4 = inside 6= OV 8/9= Balcony
firefly333 Posted October 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2012 with 9s, it would depend on the ship.. for instance I believe 9Cs are cove balconys? which I would pick. if you site the ship people can say for sure .. but 9s are a little different than other categories. Or if it is a wrap around balcony.. I would choose it. (though technically usually on other categories .. a 4A would be a lower deck than a 4C for instance) .. but 9s might just the 9C be considered a better category, but might not be on a higher deck.
