Entertainment Options

Just booked a cruise on the Reflection for next November. Needless to say very excited. We were on the Allure in July, and although we loved the options we felt overwhelmed by kids. (one of them our own!) As a result the wife and I have booked a cruise just for the two of us, and scored an aft facing balcony.

With all that being said, I am curious what the options for shows and things to do are on celebrity. Not a huge fan of their website, so I am looking for other's experiences, understanding that it may not be on the reflection per se' but on the solace class itself.

In the evening there is always a show in the main theater repeated twice each evening varying between the ship's singers and dancers, acrobatics, guest singer or musician and usually a comedian or magician. Depending on the cruise there is sometimes a late night comedian. Some nights there is a themed party which usually involves the entertainment staff starting the event with dancers or some sort of short skit related to the theme and then dancing to the party band afterwards. Several nights there is some sort of entertainment event by the ships staff such as a show fashioned after the old newlywed TV game show or a "Dancing with the Stripes" event fashioned after dancing with the stars. There is a disco every night although on some ships without a separate disco venue this will be after other events held in the sky lounge. There is usually one or more lounge music acts each evening in different venues around the ship for for ballroom dancing, jazz group, classical quartet, acoustical guitar singer, piano player or other lounge act. Other events some or all nights include karaoke and movies.

That is all I can think of for evening entertainment.

I have some daily programs going back a few years that you can look through to see the daily listings if you'd like: http://lfsimon.home.comcast.net/~lfsimon/cruiselinks.htm

Don't forget the roaming strings! We follow them like groupies!

We have been blessed doing some longer cruises lately. So the entertainment is not a primary attraction for us.

That being said, we do enjoy some of the main theater shows, most of the comedy shows and all of the side shows (outside of the main theater) that we can see!

There is something going on most of the time. If you check your dailies (or whatever they call them) you will see a nice variety.
