Renting a pole in Ketchikan

Was disappointed to hear you can no longer rent poles from Lumberjack Show. Disabled husband really wants to fish off pier. Anyone out there willing to rent me a couple of poles for few hours or can you tell me how to make this happen with going out in boat? Thanks.

Did you try to contact the Lumberjack Show directly? If they no longer rent poles, perhaps they can point you to another place.

I contacted them last year and they said they had quit renting poles BUT maybe someone should check with them this year (or someone off of a ship recently might let us know) just in case they've changed their mind.

 

I was just on their web page http://www.lumberjackshows.com/alaska/index.html

and saw no mention of renting poles, but I did note that they are now renting bicycles.

I just called the Lumberjack Show 888#. They do not rent poles anymore but she said there are a few places along Creek Street that still do rent poles. She said these places were easy to find. We'll be doing the same thing when we go in July.
