TravelGal22 Posted October 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2012 Would like to do a Southern Caribbean cruise and we can't go when it is super hot, like over 84 degrees, because my husband can't be in that kind of heat for too long so I would like to go a cooler time of year. However, I was wondering if the water is chilly in the cooler months?
aimodels Posted October 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2012 In the southern caribbean - not really. A few degrees cooler than in the summer, but it's still nice and warm. Cheers, P:)

MAGNUM PI Posted November 13, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2012 January through March is an ideal time to take a southern caribbean cruise, IMO! I have taken 5 southern caribbean cruises, primarily in February or March. The ocean temperature is fairly constant, depending exactly where you are, etc. One of my primary interests is snorkeling. I have visited probably about 25 ports; water temperature has never been a factor, in my enjoyment of the activity. Nor has the air temperature, been perceived as unbearably hot. Almost always, there is a wonderful tropical breeze.
CaliforniaAC Posted November 19, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2012 January and February are the "dry season" in the Caribbean. The southern caribbean in general, have warmer and consistent ocean temps. Check out weather underground. Lots of good info there:).
