Transportation from Phu My to Vung Tau?

Does anyone know if there is a shuttle from the port of Phu My to Vung Tau?

We will be on the Diamond Princess in April and do not want to take the long trip into Ho Chi Minh City. We heard Vung Tau is a nice place.

When we were there on Diamond the shuttle ran to Ba Ria. It wasnt very good and we had wished we had gone on to Vung Tau.

Ships tours should run a Vung Tau on your own tour.

We have called at Phu My 3 times on cruises.

1. We did the long haul into Ho Chi Min City

2. Vung Tau and the Countryside with lunch

3. Shuttle into Ba Ria.

 

By far the best was the second one which took us into locals homes in the countryside, then on to Vung Tau and lunch in a waterfront Resort Hotel. The Hotel was Vietnamese style with a French influence...very nice.:)

 

I should also add that on each cruise some of the tours and shuttles were different , so it will all depend on what your sailing has been able to organise.
