I've not stayed there but have read great things about Hotel Curious on Trip Advisor. When I looked at them, they were #19 for hotels in Barcelona:)

Stayed in 2010 and we loved the Curious ,nothing fancy small and clean and great location right on Las Rambles and the farmers market. We got the breakfast thrown in and it was good ,nothing cooked but still very good.Also great staff very helpful and spoke english .

We are staying there may 16th. We sail Venice to Barcelona may 4- 16. I will post pictures when we return

If you want a convenient base, this is it. we stayed there May, 2012 and found it was easy to get to from airport by bus and a short walk to get to port shuttle bus. We asked for a quiet room, so had one at the back and it was quiet. Basic, but really all you need in Barcelona with so much to keep you busy during the day. We are looking into another cruise next year and will likely book with them again.

We are staying there pre-cruise in May. Breakfast included. Can't wait.

Good to know info regarding the short walks to the buses. We're taking the airport bus, but wasn't sure about walking from the port shuttle bus. ;)
