Should be Interesting Watching the Miracle sail OUT

 I guess I don't underdstand what is so "interesting", grand, or special about watching ships sail away under cloudy skies.

Well, first, I'm in a landlocked state, so I like looking at ships sail out all the time. Second, two ships sailing side by side in bad weather isn't that usual, I think.

It was beautiful watching them sail out together, synchronized sailing :)

Someone on board posted that the captain said they were going to snug the coast.
Okay, that makes sense. I noticed on Marine Traffic that when Pride was sailing back to Baltimore she was closer to shore than I've ever seen her sail. And when we returned to NYC on Glory after Hurricane Earl in 2010 we sailed 6 miles off Cape Cod - never sailed that close to land before.

Well, the title of this thread induces one to believe that footage the likes of which has never been seen before will be witnessed by all, thanks to the OP. Looks like ordinary, everyday, run-of-the-mill footage to me.

Perhaps the point your missing is this is Miracle vs. Sandy. In Pride vs. Sandy, Sandy won. In Glory vs Sandy, Sandy won. This is the last of the triple crown.

But if watching cruise ships sail out of NY is ordinary, everyday, run-of-the-mill to you, close the window. GO find a baby in the hot tub thread.

And bless your heart.
