Brilliance slots, coins or tickets? Free drinks playing

On Brilliance...most machines are bills in (or tickets) and ticket out.....I found that if it was under a dollar owed to you, it would spit out coin. Larger credits were on a ticket.

Free drinks ONLY if you are a HIGH roller....the average ship gambler will pay for their drinks. And, if you think about it...those "free" drinks are hardly "free"...if you're gambling your money! You're paying for them one way or the other!

When were you onboard? In September every machine I played spit out coins.

Brilliance is still paying out in coins.

But as of this year they have a new and fascinating machine I've seen on no other ship. I think we were on for it's second week. It's the key master by Sega machine and it's filled with money. I don't gamble, I didn't put any dollars in, but I spent an awful lot of time in the casino on our recent cruise just watching people play. Wow, does it suck people in. It looks so easy. Only 2 people won during the week and they only won the lower level $5 bills. The middle level has 20s. And the top level has five $100 bills in each key hole.

Talk about fun. It's a great spectator machine. It's right across from the cashier. Look for it.

I did see one college aged guy win on the second night. Someone won late the first night. And that was in for the week. They don't refill the spot once someone wins. Although I assume the fill it up at the beginning of each cruise.

Run a search for Sega Key Master and you'll see pictures.

They had one of these on Liberty as of (at least) last weekend. Like you said, it was a very popular 'game'.

It's on Independence too. I put in $5. Came close but alas nothing. It does suck you in with the illusion that you can time the release just right.

Isn't it a GREAT spectator game? I'm glad to hear they are putting it into other ships. Maybe they're all getting it.

The only reason I don't play is because I don't want to make anyone feel bad when I come away with a stack of $100s. :D I KNOW I'd win if I played. I can just feel it. My eye, hand coordination is perfect. It is! Really!! :p

It is a great spectator game, but I didn't see anybody win anything at it. I'll have to check out the casino on Jewel in March and see if they have it also. :)

Same question about the Jewel. I sure hope they don't pay out with coins with all the noro out there.Anyone know?

I think the biggest risk of noro on the ship is when you check in and fill out the health form. We all pick up and use the same few pens with no way to clean hands during the process.

As of the chirstmas cruise they were in process of switching machines over to all tickets. I was also on the Jewel over thanksgiving and did see some progression of the change over between the two cruises. They are switching machines to the ticket system as well as replacing some machines altogether

.... Also, do they have the free drink program like ncl and ccl?

I am not familiar with ncl or ccl, but if you are asking whether they offer free drinks while you play, the answer is no; unless you are a Club Royale member (by invitation only based on level of play) or an M-Life member of sufficient level (whatever that may be, given the lack of clear information).

Maybe once but it's rigged just like the claw game. If there's not enough money in there to cover the prize, the key moves a millimeter or so up or down, too little for your eye to notice, so that even if it's lined up perfectly, you won't win. Similar to how the claw has a loose grip on any prizes and tends to drop them until a certain dollar amount is met. Then, magically, the grip gets tighter making it easy to pluck out a prize.

Don't mean to be a killjoy but that's how they make their money.

Of course I know all of this. That is why I laid it on so thick when I said I'd win if I played but obviously I'm not going to play. And I used the little tongue sticking out icon to emphasis my sarcasm.

I watched it all week, saw one person win, and was greatly entertained. And I told everyone exactly what you said. When they release it in time, it moves a small fraction of a mm too high with the delay. If they release it too early it goes, bam...way too low. It's always off by the same amount either direction. Way too low or a hair too high.

But I KNOW I'd win. LOL I'm just lucky that way.

(It's just like a slot machine. Odds are always against us. I don't play them either.)

Ok - We are going to be on Freedom in 17 days (woo hoo) and we are avid gamblers at the MGM in Detroit. Detroit casinos don't give out free drinks and my husband is a pretty high roller (not super high - we go to the casino about 2-3 times a month and his per hand bet is pretty good). He's a gold card MLife player - would that get us anything special on Royal.

Also - has anyone seen the Top Dollar machine onboard??

What does paper in and coin out mean. I know the coin out part, but do you need cash to play in the casino or can you use your sea pass card?

You need cash to play the slots. The table games will allow you to draw cash off of your seapass card or you can go to the cage/cashier to get a cash advance on your seapass.
