Wine Packages

I think all ships offer them.

I sat with 7 ladies who either shared a package or got their own .. drove our waiter nuts with so many.

The one comment I have is .. dont forget to bring the stickers with you to dinner (my roomie kept forgetting hers).

You need to peel off the sticker of the bottle you want that night and give it to the waiter to redeem each bottle.

they have low, medium and higher priced packages... our table got mostly the low priced version.. but two ladies shared the medium one and liked those wines a lot.

You seem to be able to get more than one of the same bottle if you like it.. or switch around..

sorry, dont have a copy of the list.. i bet zydocruiser has it on his site. Let me see if I can find it

BTW, I just happened to call Bon Voyage as I wanted to see if there were wines by the bottle available that aren't on the online ordering page.

I figure they had to have more available as some of them are listed on the wine packages. and yes, there are more wines available.

Here is the link to Zydeocruiser's Wine Package List: http://zydecocruiser.net/Bloggers2012/02_Embarkation/3-4-2012%281%29/DSC_6076.JPG

Search the boards - the details have been posted before. There are 3 levels of package based on wine quality - for the 5 bottle packages the prices are roughly $135,$158, $178 plus gratuity. There are 6 or 7 choices in each price range.

We got the medium priced one on our last cruise. They will be in the atrium area on the first day, it's a good deal and you can drink those at dinner with no corkage fee. We did love the Reisling enough to buy it for our next cruise!!!

Enjoy, Carole

I went to that link and it seems that those wines you purchase onboard? Not at bon voyage? I think 5 for 118 is reasonable,, I even like several of the wines listed.. I was going to try to smuggle wine onboard but if I can get 5 for 118 I wont bother,, where do you buy this from? I hope to not have to pay gratuities on it as we would drink this mostly on our bacony.. We are doing a b2b on the Dream Jan 26 and Feb 2.

Just thinking out loud, but if you both ordered a 5 bottle package, that plus the 2 you plan on bringing yourself would almost allow for a b2b. If you don't drink them all you can always take them with you after you sail.

I think everything you buy to drink they charge 15% tips on.

Galls me that bottled water a 15% tip is added.. how much effort is there for them to give me a bottle of water.

You don't need to take them with you! You just save the 'coupons' for your next cruise (as I am about to do) and use them then! ;)

wow, what a good idea.. since I cruise solo, I might not finish a whole 5 bottles plus a free one during one cruise. I love this idea.

About to leave for my Breeze TA (often a solo cruiser too) - have one leftover 'wine bottle' coupon, one drink ticket and one $5 match play for the casino packed and ready to go (I put the leftover stuff away with my passport so I know where to find it next time I cruise) :D:D

They also have a three bottle package . It was available on the Carnival Glory seven day cruise .

Now that I would grab in a heartbeat as a solo cruiser. I've called and they said that it cannot be purchased on a 7 day. Now, I've heard some people be able to get it when onboard, and others have been refused.

I might try in January if I haven't already purchased what I want. Trying to wait a bit just in case they release the Awesome Bar Package.

Saw on a website that they mentioned wine packages, but can't find them on the Carnival website. Does the Carnival Legend have wine packages? Thanks for the help!

The wine package is awesome. My wife and I got the cheap one. Got to have a bottle of wine every night at dinner. Saves you some money also:D

They were selling it in the formalities on Carnival Glory . It was perfect for us . I am a wine drinker but my SO is not .

Just off the Freedom, 8-day -- we bought the five-bottle wine package the day we sailed form a table they had set up in the lobby. We decided on the premium package because we liked the offerings in that package -- it came to $193 after adding the gratuity. Each package had 10 choices, a mix of whites and reds. All of the bottles we selected were very good.
