Unwanted Hyperlinks

Has any one else noticed that posts on these boards are sometimes now coming up with certain words underlined. These underlined words are hyper linked to advertising gimmicks and at least one, which I briefly followed, can unwittingly draw you into costing you money via your mobile phone. :mad:

 

Then again perhaps its just my computer...but the issue only seems to arise on these boards

I think your right....in your reply the words "your computer" are underlined (in my view anyway) and have a link to Justcloud.com

Did some checking...seems like this is a common and relatively new issue ...not quite Malware (so not picked up by Spybot etc) but its a bit naughty and somewhat disturbing

 

I suspect it only happens when I use Chrome, and following a tip I found when I googled the problem, I went to toolbox / extensions and was able to put a suspicious item in the "garbage"

 

So far so good

 

But keep an eye out

Yep, in The Big M's post the words "your computer" are not underlined and there is no hyperlink showing to me.

 

You must have picked up some sort of virus somewhere.
