TravelGal22 Posted November 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2012 I was wondering what were your favorite and least favorite restaurants? How was Blue Iguana Cantina and the Taste Bar?
HarpHarp Posted November 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2012 I was wondering what were your favorite and least favorite restaurants? How was Blue Iguana Cantina and the Taste Bar? I really liked the lunch at La Cucina. The breakfast burritos at the Blue Iguana are great. As far as the taste bar goes, it depends on what they're serving. The fries at guy's burgers are the best. pamurchu Posted November 19, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2012 We did the Main dining room (Blush), excellent. (Creme Brule...yum:)) We did the buffett a couple of days for breakfast, good But the best thing we ate on the ship was Guy's burgers. Don't know why they are so good, they are just burgers, but we loved them!
MszKitty Posted November 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2012 The fries at guy's burgers are the best. Its funny how different people have different tastes. I love Carnival's fries. But I hated the fries at Guys...I find them too soggy and limp. Because Guys Burgers had fries, they didn't have their regular fries at any other part of the Lido buffet. I was very disappointed. But it was probably a good thing they didn't offer their regular fries because I always eat way more than I should. :)
Tennessee Rose Posted November 19, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Seems like I read somewhere that the lunch menu at Cucina was only pasta and various non-meat sauces. Any one know for sure about this? Any salads or desserts at lunch time?

robin13 Posted November 19, 2012 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Thanks for the info. We are sailing this Saturday on the Breeze and I want to try as many restaurants as possible. We were on the Magic last October and there was only one day at sea. All the rest of the time we were on tours and not able to sample all the various restaurants on board. This cruise has three days at sea so I am going to try to eat at each place.
raytownlady Posted November 19, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 19, 2012 We're on the Breeze on Thursday the start of our B2B and all this info is really making me excited. We will try each of these and report back when we return. :D

tada Posted November 19, 2012 #13 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Favorites: Blue Iguana - Very good burritos and breakfast tacos Red Frog Pub - Pigeon peas, Jamaican Wings, and curry pockets Guy's - Fries are different than the old fries, but still good. Burgers and toppings were very good. Tandori - near the back of the buffet. Very good Bonsai Sushi - very good, excellent service Cucina - had an excellent dinner there. Osso Bucco and Pasta Carbonara Fat Jimmy's BBQ - Good pulled pork sandwiches and sides. Sausage was so-so Pizza - not bad, but they have cut back on selections Least Favorites: MDR - nothing new here. Nothing special Lido Buffet - nothing new here either Did not try the steak house One thing to note here is the limited times things are open. The Blue Iguana was open open for breakfast and lunch. If I remember it closes completely by 1:30 pm. Guys was open like noon to 6 pm. The Tandori also had limited hours. The Red Frog Pub does not serve food until 4 pm. Sushi was open 4 to close as well. And Fat Jimmy's is only open for lunch on sea days. We cruised the Med on the Breeze when three of our port days were cancelled, and on many sea days the Lido is uninhabitable due to rain and winds, so Fat Jimmy's was only open one day.
