Brossy Posted December 2, 2012 #51 Share Posted December 2, 2012 I would like to have about $50 USA as just in case money on Radiance. I shouldn't need anymore as we have pre paid tips and only visiting Australian ports. TA will only exchange $250 and post office $200. Does anyone have any suggestions I too have just done the 2 nighter on Radiance and went to the pursers desk to inquire about the exchange rate. As Debsta has mentioned in her post, it was $1 for $1 which was the same rate as I had just got from the post office except you can exchange any amount of money (whereas the post office is a minimum of $200). LoveCruisingCC Posted December 2, 2012 #52 Share Posted December 2, 2012 Go to the casino and get $50 cash out (which will be in USD). They'll convert at whatever the rate is. When I was on the Radiance last week they were quoting pretty much 1 for 1. There's a 3% surcharge which is minimal. They can give it to you in small notes if you want to tip for other services. Easy peasy :D Do you mean there is ATM in the casino to withdraw USD using an OZ bank card? I have not thought about this at all until I read this post. I have prepaid gratuities and will be on Voyager in January. I just assume I will take AUD to use for tips. Good that I come across this post. As apart from the tipping reason, my mother in law will probably play poker machines in the casino, which I assume will only take USD cash from reading this post. The_Big_M Posted December 2, 2012 #53 Share Posted December 2, 2012 No need to worry about an ATM. You just go to the casino exchange window and request a withdrawal through them. It is added to your shipboard account.
