39august Posted May 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2005 Has anyone taken liquor in your baggage, either checked or carry-on, into Mexico on a land vacation? Seems like we did this a few years ago with no problem. But now I'm wondering if it will be taken away going through customs in Mexico?
IslandJim Posted May 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2005 You can carry liquor into Mexico with limitation on the number of bottles or the number of liters. Carry two or three bottles without any problem.
Linkslady Posted June 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2005 I just got back from a land-based trip and I brought 2-12 packs of beer and a half bottle of VO.. it was a half-gallon and it was half-full... made it okay from US to Mexico... I had about 1-1/2" left and thought I could bring it back from Mexico but it was confiscated at the airport... no biggee.. This was my first time at an all-inclusive and I was afraid I wouldn't like the draft beer.. and I was right. I brought a 12 pack of Miller Lite for me and a 12 pack of Bud for my co-worker... were we surprised that the resort (Reef Club) sold Miller Lite AND Bud!! $2.00 per can ... we had left-overs and didn't have a problem bringing the beer back! I think the customs form says you can have 3 liters of alcohol to bring into Mexico.
