It is all a matter of supply and demand.

Since you are so far from final payment date, why can't you go ahead and cancel the reservation and rebook at the lower rate? Sounds like your local travel agency is not willing to help or may have its own cancellation fees.

FYI: My daughter just moved to Rotterdam!

OP sorry to hear you have not had good results with the Early Booking Rate. We always book early enough to qualify for the EBR and have had great and favorable results. We have been able to keep an eye on the website and update our booking to take advantage of OBCs and such. We have found it easier and more beneficial to book directly with NCL and eliminate our travel agent. Having a third-party may be creating some of your problems. Best of Luck with your cruising plans!

The joys of being a European cruiser and booking through one of the NCL european sites.

No penalty free cancellation and no price drops.

Should you decide to do NCL again in future make a call to the USA and book it through them, they will allow Europeans to book but it isn't always cheaper to do it that way so check the prices first.

No better in the UK either! I actually cancelled my original booking for November on the Jade and rebooked. Lost the deposit but still saved a good amount of money! Not really fair though when the US passengers get much better deals. Why do I just know the same will probably happen again on our Baltic cruise in June. Time for NCL to make some policy changes I think ???
