Beautiful picture.... hmmm maybe you can talk her into doing your wedding photo's :D

Awww that is so sweet of you to say! They had already booked someone else when they learned of me and it would just be too difficult to switch things over! But I am trying to convince them to drag me in their luggage on an upcoming vacation! lol. :-)

I don't think anyone will want to be stuck in our cabin that cruise ;). I already feel bad for our neighbors

Hi there- we boarded 12/2 as you got off, and had a great time. We also loved Serenity, and only ever had a hard time finding a spot in the shade. Likewise I wish it had a pool. That is one area where RCI Freedom of the Seas has the Breeze beat.

Your review is helping with my cruise withdrawal!

Our awesome crew:

P1020473.JPG

I went to Aruba in February for 5 days and went out with Jolly Pirates. LOVED THEM! The 2 guys in the middle were part of my crew. Me and the guy in the red did the double rope swing. I climbed on his back, he held onto the swing, and when he let go he did a backflip into the water. Too. Much. Fun. :D Did anyone on your excursion get to do that? They offer it to a few ladies.

ETA: I just checked out the video on the FB page. LOL @ what not to do Chris! :p

Yeah, that was just pathetic :o. I wish one of the crew had gone first to show us how to do it. And of course by the time I got the hang of it, our camera battery was dead :(

Fantaaaaastic Review! Just love it! Thanks so much for taking the time to post your review and photos! Absolutely wonderful!:)

You're welcome! And thank you for the kind words :D

Alright, sorry about not posting yesterday but I had 5 meetings and we both just needed a night off to relax. But my boss isn't here today so hopefully I'll be able to finish this and then you can go read a good review (ItalianFemmy's).

Saturday – Sea Day (last day :() – It was a cloudy, rainy morning so we couldn’t eat breakfast on our balcony. We headed up to the Ocean Plaza for breakfast and ate outside under an umbrella. After breakfast we went back to the room to get the majority of our packing done (found it’s better to do this before we start drinking). Got most of it done and headed back up for trivia. Cass stopped and used her VIFP drink coupon on a Guava Mimosa. A vast improvement over the Bloody Mary she barely touched.

Final round of Super Trivia and the whole gang showed up. Cass was the one who got a physical challenge and this was right up her alley. They had to blow up a balloon and pop it by sitting on it.

P1020641.jpg

She then had another where she had to bounce a coin into a bucket (think quarters) and her college days finally came in handy as she got it in the first shot.

P1020642.jpg

We did OK but was a little more nervous than I needed to be. We ended up winning by 50 points and it was never really close (I think Cass got a video but she hasn't edited it yet). We got plenty of swag, ships on a stick, champagne, and medals. We ended up giving a bunch to Ward for the Glowing Home party’s raffle.

Karen wanted to thank us for the bottle of wine we gave her (came with the fruit basket from the casino gift) and bought us both drinks. We hardly had anything to drink the night before so we were ready to have a good time today. The sun had started to come out and it turned into a pretty nice day. Found a couple of seats up on Serenity, once again, plenty of open chairs.

The slides were very popular (I guess I was the only one who had issues with the slide :o)

P1020650.jpg

Got lunch and Cass tried the Tandoor and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good but not quite as spicy as we like our Indian. I had my last Blue Iguana tacos until our Honeymoon. I spent a few hours in the casino while Cass sulked because she didn’t want to lose any more money. I spent the day even so that was a plus. Went to the room to finish packing and get ready for our Glowing Home party.

Sunset was on the other side of the ship so we didn't get great pictures but it was still nice sitting out on the balcony for a bit.

Up to deck 7 to give Ward a hand carrying all the goodies for the party. I guess I lied about never going into the Liquid Nightclub. We had a good turnout and had a great time hanging out and saying goodbye to all our new friends.

We did dinner with the Misfits again. Everyone was a little more subdued this evening. I guess we were all kind of sad that it was our last night.

Cass started with the crab cake and I had a sweet potato soup

We both had the Bacon Mac & Cheese. I don't know why but it wasn't as great. Don't get me wrong, it was still damn tasty but not a smorgasm like the first couple times we had it. I honestly wonder if it was just reheated from last night (it was on the menu for both Friday and Saturday).

Cass had the Cappuccino Pie while I left to grab her a seat at the Piano Bar.

Chris and ( Cassandra ), you are too modest and humble about your reviews vs Italianfemmy's. Even though her photos are professional, yours are very very good and tell the story and add to your review. As I said before, I love how you both team tag writing the review. It gives 2 prospectives for the price of one. Your reviews are always fun and witty, very well written and enjoyable. The one thing I love the most is that you both are so dedicated to your review that you are posting it within a few days of starting. You are not leaving your readers "hanging" and waiting and waiting to see another episode. Thank you thank you!:D:):D

Having said that, I and others appreciate all who write and post reviews as we know how much work each and every one of them take. Thank you to all of you.:D

I was surprised to see that the place wasn't packed but it allowed me to save a couple seats for the rest of the group.

She showed up and I left to donate some more money to the casino. After about an hour I gave up, cashed out, and headed back to the Piano Bar. We made sure to get pictures of the best bar staff ever.

For some reason I thought it’d be a good idea to have a Mint Chocolate Martini at 12:30.

Needless to say, I’d regret that decision in the morning. Back to the room and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

It's just my self deprecating humor :o. We are glad that people find our reviews helpful and sometimes funny.

We had a gift basket from Deb and Erman waiting for us. They wanted to make sure we didn't get scurvy.

P1020724.jpg

One thing I did not mention is that Deb and Erman's room was about 30' down the hall. They started leaving stuff at our door and it just kept escalating trying to one up each other.

And we did have our last towel animal (shape) and found it very fitting.

P1020725.jpg

Sunday – Debarkation – Alarm came way too early (could’ve easily used a couple more hours of sleep). We decided to do normal debarkation as opposed to self because we would’ve had to be ready around 7am.

I was surprised to see that we had docked on the opposite side from when we boarded each time and had a nice view of Miami.

Before I get to the debarkation day I wanted to dedicate a post to our room. As I said earlier we were in room 2305 which was a cove balcony. We were about 1/3 of the way forward. On windy days, there was a lot of sea spray blowing back into our balcony. You could usually still be out there, but you wouldn't want to lean your head out. We loved the location of the room (especially since we virtually never went to the Lido buffet).

It was also an adjoining room which I did not notice when booking and it was too late to move by the time I did. There is definitely more noise that comes through but it all depends on your neighbors. While getting ready one night on the 2 day, we heard our neighbors playing loud music (I just cranked up my own on my kindle). But that was the only time we really heard them. On the 8 day we heard them talking maybe once. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was thinking but again, it really depends on your neighbors. It was something I had never thought to look for but will when booking from now on.

We loved the room colors. I could say this about virtually the entire ship though. But it's certainly a million times better than the god awful peach on the Pride. Going South, the room got a lot of sun and could be very warm in the summer.

P1020658.jpg

I never felt much sway and there was only one night when we could here the waves. The room and balcony were the same size as those that we normally have on the Pride. I loved the flat screen tv with the swivel. The interactive menu on the tv was great too. You could check out the menu, order room service, look at shore excursions, etc.

I don't know how I feel about the 'key card' for the lights thing. I had read something before we sailed and it is just a sensor, you don't need to have your room key in there. We just stuck a piece of paper in there and left it there for the 10 days (worked like a charm). But we were always cognisant of turning off the lights before we left. I can't imagine how many people locked themselves out of their room because they left the key in the slot.

The one bad thing I can think of was that we had to really pull our door shut to get it to latch (we ALWAYS try to not let our door slam). I just needed to make sure that I always heard it click.

I know Cass has her own thoughts on this and I'm sure she will share them later (can you tell I'm not getting any work done today :o).

I agree, I had the Mac'n Cheese as well (I had early dining) and it wasn't as good as before! The Chicken tasted re-heated and the pasta was dry!

See Chris and Cass.... that wasn't called for. lol. People love your reviews and your review is a real review and a good one! We have completely different styles and some people like one better or like them both for different reasons so it's completely relevant.

To the person that I am quoting, I wouldn't be able to do a review at all if I wasn't leaving people "hanging" and waiting and waiting. :-) Not only because I spend 15-17 hours a day, 7 days a week working but also because I take time to edit the photos in my review and also because I write super in depth. My reviews aren't meant to be witty and funny - they're meant to be informative and detailed with random bouts of humor. :-) Anyway, like I said... we all have different preferences and I'd like to not turn this into a comparison. Chris and Cass.... you know people love you and your review (myself included) so don't sell yourselves short.

OK, back to debarkation day.

Up to 5 to wait for our zone to be called. They were also decorating for Christmas and that made us kinda sad (I’m sure the ship is beautiful with all the decorations). After a short wait we headed down to 3 and the line was backed up into the Ovation Theater. What a cluster f*@%! One of the worst parts of the cruise. It was so disorganized. There’s no need to call so many people to debark at one time. There was also apparently an issue in customs that lead to a wait. After that got settled the process was very smooth and much better than our previous trip in February. Cass had booked transportation back to FLL but we had to wait about 15 minutes for the bus to fill up. If you’re strapped for time, there are better options and we may look into it for the Honeymoon. I was very dehydrated and a kind lady behind me overheard me telling Cass this and gave us a bottle of water (if you’re reading this THANK YOU!).

After about a 30 minute ride we arrived at FLL a little after 10. Our flight wasn’t until 2:30 so we checked to see if there was an earlier flight. There was but it would’ve cost us over $500 to switch. Um, no thank you. I grabbed a donut while Cass got a delicious chicken mojito sandwich. We found a spot to sit and just relaxed while checking back in with the world on our phones. Met up with Ron and Linda and sat with them until their flight. I grabbed the same chicken mojito sandwich that Cass had (seriously the best pre-packaged sandwich we’ve ever had).

Please don't take my post as a criticism of your reviews. The Dream one was fabulous and I am subscribed to your new one on the Breeze. Totally understand why you can't finish yours as quickly and it is worth waiting for. Just nice to not have to wait for all of them...lol. My post was meant to praise Chris and Cassandra for theirs, not to knock yours or anyone else's. I appreciate them all. That's why I added the last sentence to thank all of you.
