Specific Diet on NCL Cruise

Recommended Posts

What experience has anyone had with special diets on an NCL cruise. My daughter and I both follow a plant based diet. Ive been on 2 NCL diets and it was always possible to accommodate our needs but it was a lot of work (making arrangements for each meal, finding someone knowledgable about exact ingredients in each dish, etc). We are planning on the Breakaway and would like for this to be easier if there is any way we can plan in advance. Thanks

I would suggest that you contact: Colin Hudson

I notice on my cruise last month, that healthier options were available with less seasoning and in smaller portions. Address your concerns with him and see what he says. He is a very nice man. I have met him.

Just curious but when you say "plant based diet" do you mean vegetarian?

Cheers.

Plant based refers to healthy eating with foods derived from plants (fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, coconuts, etc.). Vegetarian would also include eggs and dairy which I prefer not to eat. On my recent cruise because I was with a bigger group and did not plan in advance I did eat some vegetarian items which were readily available at every meal. I would like to be better prepared for the next cruise.

I appreciate the responses and will follow up with the suggestions. Thank you so much.

Am I missing something, or that diet more commonly called vegan?
