gschwartz001 Posted December 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Per recent posts it appears that power still has not been fully restored at manhattan cruise terminal. For those on recent cruises can you still pay via credit card for parking? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. :)
NYGirl1002 Posted December 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2012 I think I've read on here that you can pre-pay online. Maybe someone that has done it before can elaborate. There is electricity..just no heat..so I'm thinking it won't affect paying by cc.
Rare mking8288 Posted December 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Not aware of any issues with parking at MCT, payment using CC or related - the Jewel is at the Pier today & Gem was back earlier this week, no CC's posted any alerts - so you should be good to go & park above the terminal later this month. Progress being made as repairs are ongoing & it seemed some electrical services had been restored along with heat  as it was "cold" inside a few weeks ago when we blew in/out of there during the Nor-easter storm. Ship(s) docked there are provide some electricty to supplement what's available from the utility provider. Assumed that you are on your sailing's Roll Call and they are sharing the most updated info - you can also call MCT parking operator directly - # of the webpage http://www.nycruise.com/manhattan-terminal/parking/

Thanks. :) Just sailed on the Jewel over Thanksgiving and credit cards were accepted, no problem. No problem finding spots. At the time the termindal was still a little cold because full power hadn't been restored. Not sure if power is back, but you may want to bring a warm coat just in case. Enjoy your cruise. No...there's no way to pay for parking at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in advance, nor can you make advance reservations for a parking space. Guest LoveMyBoxer Posted December 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Thanks all for the info. We tried calling the number but there was no response just a voice mail. Like I said, they were taking credit cards 3 weeks ago. With or without power, there are others ways (wifi) to collect credit card information these days. rosebud513 Posted December 9, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 9, 2012 We cruised 11/25-12/4 and parked at the pier. They did take credit cards for payment..we were told they did not have full power there yet but honestly did not notice a difference...lines were moving quickly. tv3chick Posted December 10, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 10, 2012 Just got off the Jewel today. No problem taking credit cards. The elevators were not working at the pier when we returned so you get off the ship at the pier level. The elevators were working at the parking garage. Seemed like there was power. Hope this helps.
