Just off Sihlouette, and what I found most disappointing was the "coffee house style breakfast" Not sure what that was suppose to mean, but on Sihouette it meant NO HOT FOOD! It was lovely that they held it in the Tuscan Grill (great views) but it was a very minimul buffett that was set up with cold pastries, cold juices, yougurt, out of season fruit, and lunch meats. The best part was that they would bring complimentary lattes and mimosa etc... but when I tried to take the specialty coffee with me out and up to the buffet, I was chased down by the loyalty hostess and told it was not allowed. I think this needs to be looked at by Celebrity, on Royal Caribbean the "Diamond breakfast area" was just off the dining room and you could get the full menu and a comp latte. I was even able on Royal to sit anywhere in the dining room and show my "diamond" card and get the comp latte at breakfast.

We did use the free laundry which was great on a 14 cruise and the comp pressing and the free internet mins. Not so much on the rest of the perks. We went up to the cocktail hour once and it was a set menu of drinks and they would not waiver from it.

Hot food has only occasionally been a feature of the Elite breakfast -- on a very few cruises there have been reports of a hot dish, but the general rule is that the breakfast consists of meat, cheese, salmon, several kinds of fruit, bagels, toast, pastries, yogurt, several kinds of juices, smoothies, espresso-based coffee drinks, tea, mimosas, bloody marys. Sorry you were disappointed, but that's how it's always been.

Also, passengers are asked not to remove any food or drink from the breakfast, and from the cocktail hour. Again, that's how it's been since shortly after the loyalty programs began. Perhaps you are new to Elite and weren't aware of how the two events operate, what the drinks on offer are, and so forth.

Celebrity simply isn't Royal Caribbean. The two companies operate their programs differently and don't attempt to mirror each other. If you like the way it's done on Royal, then it's a good idea to choose that line. It's doubtful that Celebrity will change.
