Port of Long Beach Parking

Does anyone know if there are alternative parking lots at the Port of Long Beach? We are not looking for a hotel deal, just an alternative parking lot. We are concerned that it will be difficult to park our truck in the garage... it's a lifted Ford F350 Diesel. Thanks in advance :)

There is an adjacent outdoor parking lot at the port for RV's and oversized vehicles. Not quite sure if the daily rate is the same. You could probably google for their number and info.

Yes, there IS an adjacent parking lot for the taller vehicles, and it's the same price for them as it is for cars.. This one is closer to the Queen Mary, but it's a short walk over to the terminal through some shops from the lot..

Daily rate is the same for indoor and outside parking: $17/day.

 

There aren't any other parking areas around. We decided to park at Union Station (Patsaouras Transit Center) for $6/day and took the Red Line to the Blue Line to the Passport C bus. We each had a 22" suitcase and a tote bag.

It is $3pp to get from Union Station to Long Beach.

 

--Red or Purple line ($1.50, metro.net) to the 7th Street Metro Station (go upstairs to the...)

--Blue Line ($1.50) to the Long Beach Transit Center.

(turn left off the train and then turn right at the bottom of the platform to the...)

--Passport Bus (free, google long beach passport bus) to the Queen Mary

 

At the kiosks in Union Station you will need to buy a TAP card ($1) in addition to the $6 for the round trip. You need to TAP the card at each metro station along the way.

 

Plan on two hours.

 

We've done this several times with no problems.

Thanks everyone :) Husband now says he is going to just drop all of us off and drive over to grandparents house which is 5 minutes away and have one of them drop him back off.

Wow! Lucky you!! Those grandparents could make some extra money letting lucky cruisers park at their home!(LOL)
