spunke Posted December 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Anyone go through the Carnival "Price Protection procedure and form"?? We are book on a cruise early next month and I noticed that my category went down $100. I submitted the form but they weren't exceedingly gracious about it? It seems that Carnival doesn't really reward you for booking early like we did?? Any advice Thanks
Oh away I go! Posted December 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2012 I had the opposite experience-- I notified Carnival on August 8th of a fifty dollar decrease. They contacted me on August 9th of their approval :D
Ken076 Posted December 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Are you booked Early Saver? Or are you booked otherwise, where you can't get price adjustments after final Payment deadline? How were they not gracous?? ken

Lots of people can offer good advice if you supply some details, Especially Ken who has already responded. Bill
JMBeane Posted March 25, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2013 I am confused, this is our first time sailing and I am not familiar with the price protection claim. I booked in late February and paid $749pp. I checked the price today and it shows $649pp. I submitted a form so I will see what happens. They credit the difference to your onboard credits? If you already made your final payment, they will give you shipboard credit. If you still owe a balance, they will adjust/lower the balance accordingly. firefly333 Posted March 26, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2013 We paid in full when we booked. Thank you so much for your help!! :) The form is only if you booked early saver rate .. no other rate is price protected after Carnival's final payment date. Any other rate you have to call up until final payment date. There is one other form which is if the rate goes down within 48 hours of booking. You dont say if you booked early saver rate or not .. but Im thinking you might not have if you paid in full at the time of booking? The OP on this thread people are saying the post is vague because they too did not say what rate they booked, or what the reply was exactly. SIPPINTIME0413 Posted March 26, 2013 #10 Share Posted March 26, 2013 I have turned in 4 price protection claim in the last month. They have honored everyone. A couple took close to 7 days to show up as obc due to all the recent events.
