Bar Crawl/Poker Run/Scavenger Hunt OH MY!

So I am a procrastinatior and we leave Jan 5th. I want to plan the activites above (Bar crawl/scaveger hunt and poker run).

My questions are:

 

1. What is the best time/day to hold the poker run?

2. Any suggestions for the adult scavenger hunt/bar crawl?

I'm organizing a meet and greet/ open bar.

 

The last time we participated in the poker crawl it was a nightmare as everyone completely jammed the halls going from cabin to cabin

I think we might combine the poker crawl/bar crawl. I don't want to do it cabin to cabin.

I have done many bar crawl/poker runs combined. I think this is better sometime after dinner. At each bar each person gets a card and at the end the best hand wins. I have been on some that gave prizes to the top three and also the last place and others that have only given to the top three. It is up to you.

its something you need to set up for your group. i was on the miracle in '05 and carnival did a bar crawl but i havent seen one done since.

Our last 1 everybody paid in $5 then at each cabin they got a card and it was logged by the cabin host. The cabin hosts each had a snack or small shot for each player. We had 5 different cabin categories so everyone got to see the different cabin types, interior, oceanview, cove, balcony, suite. At the end best hand got 60% 2nd 20% third 10% and worst got 10%.

 

Had to log each card otherwise people made "creative" hands :p

 

Had about 50 participants

the ship does a photo scavenger hunt.

 

you can use their list and use it on the last sea day.

 

at least allow people all week to get their photos.

I didn't participate - but here is the info/notes from our recent cruise for the roll call organized pub crawl:

 

Ship Pub Crawl and Card Draw game 3:00 PM $5 Meet...... we start with the Lobby Bar - Deck #3, Winner Luck Casino Bar Deck #5; Red Frog Pub Deck#5; Blue Iguana Cantina & Tequila Deck #10; Red Frog Rum Bar Deck #10, Tides Bar Aft Deck #10; End at the Serenity Bar Deck #15....

 

 

Card Draw Game and Pub Crawl Notes Basically we begin at the first bar - people sign up and receive their first card (we get the cards back and just document what they drew). We document get a drink and move on to the next. Each time everyone reports in and they get another card. At the fifth bar the best poker hands wins the pot - if there is a tie then it is split. You just reuse the same deck each time. So that is how it works - of course we can go to more stops, but the poker hand is only dealt for 5 bars
