macruisefan Posted December 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2012 I did a search, and most of the info I found was prior to last January. So, I thought I'd see if anyone cruised last January and had any recollection about this. I'm sailing Silhouette Jan 13-20. Wondering if anyone recalls seeing any of the NFL Playoff games being broadcast either in-room, or at any other locations. I was on RCI Liberty of the Seas a few years ago for the Superbowl, and that was on everywhere. But that's a lot bigger than the playoffs. Not a big deal, just curious. Hi:) before I answer you, I would love to eat out with you sometime. I read your reply on the other thread ("Myth") and I would love to try some of the restaurants you mentioned:D Now, as for the NFL Playoffs and Superbowl......I have sailed in January on Playoff weekends and over Superbowl Sunday and yes, all those games have been shown.....in locations on the ship as well as in your stateroom. As for the setups....you need to check your daily or go to Guest Relations....each ship has their own way of doing things.
macruisefan Posted December 29, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Football is over in November when the Grey Cup is played :D LOL! Funny, except I was talking about professional Football, not that Pee-Wee stuff. The Grey Cup, is that what you store all the Maple Syrup?:D

Thanks so much. I figured it would vary from ship to ship, and probably based on what signals they're getting. Just curious what people have experienced. Thanks again! Just curious what people have experienced. Thanks again! The first time I sailed during the Playoffs was back in 2004 (I think) I was on CENTURY and it was the year The Panthers beat the Eagles in the NFC Championship game...I remember it clearly because there was a big group of Philly fans on board:eek: they were celebrating a friend's birthday and you know they were NOT a happy group after that game:rolleyes:

Clydesmom7865 Posted December 29, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2012 SO glad someone else asked. I will be on the Eclipse from Jan 13-26 and that is at least one potential playoff day. I know last December I got regular season football quite often on an 11 day sail. Even the team I wanted to see (of course I did ask at Guest Relations) but over all have not really missed any football. However, I do set the DVR just in case. librarylady19 Posted December 29, 2012 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2012 I recall DH watching the Bears play in the snow from the Summit Casino Bar smugly enjoying the Caribbean weather. on our last cruise a game between 2 East coast teams (I don't remember who, as I didn't go) was shown on the Celebrity Central (smaller theater). apparently things got a bit nasty between the fans :p. I think Don (dkjretired)was there but didn't participate of course:rolleyes: Michaels would seem like a good place to show games too, what with all that beer and the TVs. On Summit all they ever showed on the TV there was tennis:confused:A missed opportunity IMO.

I will also be on Silhouette at that time, and I can tell you they will have a mutiny on their hands if they are not shown. In the past, they have been shown both in public areas and in the rooms. As long as there is a signal, you should be able to watch the games. Anne
