Hey Debi!
As for St Lucia, WHEN you go back, you must try Cosol's tour. He is fantastic. St Lucia really is a beautiful tropical island. He takes you around the whole island and gives a great tour about the culture and history. You also get to sample some wonderful local treats. For the price, he really packs alot into the day.:)

Quick question on the Meet and Mingle. My in laws are coming with us. They are not on cruise critic. Do you think they would be turned away at the Meet and Mingle???

You need an invitation to get in. The invitations will be in your stateroom when you arrive. Are you all on the same booking #? If so, you can just log back into the registration page for the M&M and add them. If they have their own booking #, they can just register themselves. (Or you can do it for them). If they (RCI) know that more people are coming, they can adjust the amount of drinks, snacks and gifts they have. That way people who did take the time to register won't get shorted by those who came without an RSVP.

Hey Debi,
Thanks. I will probably just register them. I am sure they would want to come.
No you don't want to step on one. It was not a horrible pain, seemed like kind of a electric shock. I could feel it all over my body, I esp remember the sensation in my cheeks. I got 7 spines about the size of a toothpick in my foot and toes. the spines all broke off and didnt stick out past my skin. The venom kicked in and it got numb really quickly, it swelled up a lot too. They gave me treatment at the bar, he poured vinegar on it, although everyone in the bar said to pee on it. Then he lit a sterno can and held the flame til it almost touched my skin. I could feel the heat and that felt good, but it didn't burn. This killed the spikes so they stopped giving off venom. They didn't pull them out, said it was better to let them just disolve in my body. No infection that way. Ship doc agreed with them. by the next morning I was walking just fine with no swelling.
I would guess if you touched the urchins without breaking the skin, there would be no problems. I'm not gonna try it though. :D
ok, back to this wonderful review!! I'm on her on Sunday!
OMG! thank you for sharing! Perhaps that is why the "uni" has such a mark up in sushi joints! Sorry to hear about the injury. :o

SeaTrek is closed while we are in port. Hint: Bring your own goggles with you. They are VERY expensive here!

The solarium area was very nice. The only problem I noticed was it was a main thoroughfare to get from one side of the ship to the other, so there were always kids running through it. Not very peaceful and quiet. But better than the main pool deck!
Thanks again Debi....loving the pictures and review.

What is the Sea Trek?
The dive shop. You can get PADI certified there. They sell REALLY expensive equipment. Alexis left her goggles in the room. We thought we'd pick up a cheap pair there..........LOL!

I was on this cruise twice and loved it both times. We always did an excursion no matter how many ships were in port. Just leave plenty of time to get back to the ship. Wonderful pictures that bring back so many great memories to me. I will be cruising with her again!

We had set our alarm to wake us at 7:00 on day 6 of our cruise. Today we would be in Barbados. We had an early (for us) breakfast and made our way off the ship at 8:45.We were met by our driver by the round-a-bout which is outside of the port.

Our driver was right on time. He took us about 10 minutes away to where the beautiful Elegance was docked.

We quickly boarded and found that it would only be ourselves and one other couple aboard plus our Captain Cally along with Sarah, the owner and Ashley, the first mate. This was going to be a GREAT day!

We were underway in no time at all. We passed some cool boats as we cruised out of the harbor.

Alexis drank a little too much sea water during the snorkeling and decided to stay on the boat and feed the fish. This was about the time she started feeling a little sea-sick.
