Thanks for the review. Were there alot of cabs to take you from the resort back to the pier in St. Croix?

Oh yes. They seem to "troll" the area looking for people who are ready to go back to the port. Our cab was parked in front of the door to the resort just waiting!

My DH and I are so enjoying your pictorial thread. I've never cruised before so the visuals are really interesting, giving a real feel of what it will be like for us when we go on 27 Jan from the UK. A lot of the 'great unknowns' are dispelled and I can feel myself relaxing about it as I watch you having a great time. The Q & A's that have come up are helpful too.

Thanks for making the effort, it's appreciated.

Oh, and I soo want a hook bracelet!!

Regards

Julie

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! You WILL have a relaxing time! :) How can you not in such a beautiful place?;)

Tonight was the first formal night. We went to the CL for a quick drink before dinner. I decided not to take pictures in there as we drew enough attention to ourselves as we had the kids with us. They were very well behaved but we didn't want to press our luck so he headed to dinner.

The dining room was very busy. We sat down and waited for Val to come by to get our drink orders. She was there quickly! We enjoyed our cocktails and were in no hurry to be served. Good thing. The wait staff was VERY busy as usual. We managed to entertain ourselves again!

I did manage to get a few shots of some of our dinner. Sorry, I don't remember who had this or what it was, but it was delicious!

This was Alexis' dinner...........no explanation needed........

Jessica had the Cheesecake. She loved it!

After dinner we headed off to the room to change and for the kids to get ready for the Kid/Teen Clubs. When we got to the room, this guy was waiting for us!

The kids thought it was soooo cool!

The kids took off for the clubs and Jessica & I went down to the Promenade to check out the sales but didn't buy anything. We did find this guy. He was hanging out at the stairway entrance to the casino. Funny, we seemed to always see him there.

We went back up to the room and the kids had returned from the clubs. They didn’t have such a great time. Apparently, the language barrier was an issue; the kids in the club spoke Spanish as their first language and my grandkids don’t so they were somewhat intimidated. That’s probably the only down side to this cruise. There seemed to be quite a few kids on board, but none that spoke English signed up for the kids (teen) club. We decided to call it a night and just stayed in the room.

We were up bright and early, ok, not so bright and early but we were up by 8:00 and at the WJ for breakfast. Hint: The earlier you go to the WJ, the fewer the people!

Today was Bernard’s Tour that I had organized for our CC Roll Call Group! It was going to be a VERY busy day!

We met up at the dock and proceeded to the arranged meeting place. Everyone was there waiting for us. Early birds!

The first place we stopped was the Iguana farm and by the looks of it, it was a chicken & duck farm too. They were everywhere.

No one volunteered to hold the Iguana except my grandson Cameron. Mailman, our tour guide, gave him tips on what to do!

This rooster wouldn't stop following me!

We did quite a bit of driving on this tour so many of my photos are taken from the moving car. I wasn’t able to remember the names of every place that we drove by but the views were incredible. Hint: Have someone take notes for you!

Half of St. Maarten is French, the other half is Dutch. Here is where the border is.

We drove past such beautiful areas.
Thanks for sharing your pictures, etc. Do you remember about how much you paid for the bracelets? I love the story that goes along with them!
The one in the picture is silver & gold. It was $140. My daughter got the one that was all silver. Hers was $60.

Hi Debi. Your review is great! I will be on AOS, with Cruznqueen, in a little over three weeks. We will be doing Bernards Kid Friendly tour (not going to Orient Beach but a different one as Mary mentioned).

My daughter is a bit younger than yours, 7, but your information so far about the kids has been helpful. I am looking forward to reading more!
Beautiful pictures of the sunset in st Croix, my fave thing to take pictures of after the food lol!

I go crazy with the sunsets. I snap continuously until it's dark. I had probably 200 shots of the same sunset. It's hard to decide which one to post!
Debi,

Love your pics and travel log.
We have 2 buses booked with Bernards Tours. One going to orient beach and one to another beach. The other beach is the tour that has children.
Which beach did you go to?
Orient......it was interesting to say the least..........stay tuned..........
Great Review so far! I am thinking of pictures to take on my upcoming cruise, I think these reviews with pictures are much more interesting!
I've learned quite a bit about pictures and doing reviews since I started this. I can't wait to get to Alaska and apply what I've learned. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures too!
