Under 2 - Camp Carnival activities

I understand that kids under 2 cannot participate in regularly-scheduled Camp Carnival activities. I also understand that there is babysitting at the camp for a fee, either late night or early morning (I think).

What I am a bit confused about is, if the kids under 2 are allowed to go to the "family" Camp Carnival activities, like Build a Bear and the like. Can anyone clarify this for me? Any other pointers for the under-2 set would also be appreciated! :)

Our 18 month old was able to participate in the Build-A-Bear without issue, and we didn't have to register her either.

They also have time occasionally that you can go play with them before the older kids arrive.

If you think you may use baby sitting, I would go to the orientation. DD got a free t-shirt for going. In the mornings on sea days 8-10, they have under 2 play time where you can take your little one up there to run around and play with the toys. You can stay (free) or leave (pay a fee). Its particularly good for the 1-2 age group, because they want to walk and run around, but there are not that many places around the ship where they can do that.

If you want to leave them during the babysitting hours, they have to be registered. If you don't a chance to do it during orientation they have other times you can do it. Also they will give you a free tee shirt. When we went they gave us a cell phone that they could call us or we could call them if we left our daugther during the baby sitting hours and we wanted to check in or if they need us to come get her. We kept the phone the whole trip and gave it back on the last day.
