Hi all,

 

Just found this thread. My partner (James) & I (Rob) from the UK are on this cruise, glad to see we won't be alone! We booked the cruise over a year ago, our UK TA couldn't help us when the 123 promotion was introduced so we will probably be one of the few who are buying their drinks! Anyway, it's going to be my first cruise, so despite paying a great deal more than most, I will still enjoy myself!!!

Hey Everyone,

Are any of you staying in Harwich night before cruise and up for a small group for have some drinks? I'm going to Peterhofs dinner at 8:00 (Mayflower Restaurant at the Premier Inn). I was thinking afterwards. What are you all up? I figured a group from this board might be more likely to go out for a few drinks! Although who knows who from dinner might be up for some drinks, too

Oh, I'm the The Pier Hotel 2 nights before the cruise.

 

We are also staying at the Pier but only the night before the cruise. We might be up for a drink just depending on how jet lagged we are! We are driving in to Harwich late afternoon so if so we can we would love to join you! Jamey & Marc

Does anyone know how many "family" members are gonna be traveling on this cruise? I know that Pied Piper doesn't give the number of people traveling through them but was just curious to see if anyone had any inside information?

 

Cant wait to go! Only about 19 more days to go!!

 

One other thing...how many of you will be doing the formal nights? We always have done them but bringing all that extra stuff is a pain in the butt! LOL

Email me before the trip. cmy1971c@aol.com. We can exchange info and maybe touch base after you check in and maybe have at least one drink. Leaving The Pier about 7:30 for the meet and greet dinner that Peterhof is hosting at The Mayflower restaurant. Meeting Karen (danskerlady from the other board) from CT there to go together in a cab. She's staying the night before at The Pier. Maybe we can meet before that (or after if you get your second wind!). I'll be on email there (I think). Have to find out if my new phone will work there (but if they have wifi then I'm OK I guess). And don't forget your adapters for chargers and other electrical devices you may bring...at least for the hotel! Where from in NJ? North Haledon here (next to Wayne).

P.S. Not doing formal night at this point. If I decide day of getting on board, I may do the tux package and have them provide me everything. Just see how I feel! I haven't worn a tux since senior prom. I'm sure RobandJames will look dapper! Don't know how many of us are in the group for PP. Last summer on Mediterranean was about 50 I'd say.

Not long now till we sail.

Will be my boyfriend's first cruise. Pied Piper always look after us so well and always a friendly group.

We will be doing the Tux things for the formals, love the cruise traditions :)

Hi Everyone,

Well, on gayice.is they show Club Kiki bar below. Aren't we lucky we're in Reykjavik on a Friday if they truly are open only Fri and Sat nights? I suspect some of you may want to go out. I do! I had to copy and paste "Reykjavik." Can never spell it for the life of me. Get your Icelandic Krona ready from the ATM during the day! I also emailed the "contact us" info email on that site to ask about other bars or nightlife (well, that would be a bar, right?). I think there may be that one only, that's all they had listed.

P.S. Sunrise is 3:01 and sunset 12:01 the day we are there.

Club Kiki, the newest Queer Club in Reykjavik located on Laugavegur 22, the queerest corner in Reykjavik, where many of Reykjavik´s best known gay club have had its home in the past. Kiki offers good music, fun atmo and nice crowd. Kiki is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 pm to 4.30 am.

Oh, look. I got a response already from "Frosti" in Iceland. No decision making on where to go.....easy!

 

It´s a small gay scene up here and Kiki is the only gay bar in town, so go for that one. There is a nice bar on the groundfloor called Bravo also worht checking out as many start there before going on upstairs to party at Kiki.

Does the 123Go mean you have to book 3 cruises?

No you don't have to book three cruises.

You have a choices of 1 2 or 3 different offers.

Some cruises you get all three offers, free gratuities, free shore excursions, free drinks, free internet, or something similar.

You pick what you want, each cruise is different, but you usually can get 2 out of 3.
