Halifax Pier 21

We will be on the NCL Gem stopping in Halifax in September. How far is Pier 21 from the dock? Is it walkable?

To my recollection, Pier 21 is the cruise port, the museum is in the building. If anyone knows differently, they can correct me. I haven't cruised into Halifax (until an upcoming cruise in May) but have stayed in the city a number of times and recall the museum being there.

Yes, I agree. I cruised to Halifax in 2008 on the Carnival Victory (My first cruise). I thought we docked right at Pier 21. Everything was right there at the dock. :D

The cruise ship dock and pier 21 (museum) are together.

If there are several ships in town you may be closer to Pier 22 or 23, but it is still close. Halifax is great for walking off the ship and just walking around.
