Rental car in Cozumel

Want to rent a car in Coz, and go to the ruins there. I have been to Coz many times to dive. Been to Ruins in Calica but not in Coz--what ruins are in Coz and the closest rental car place. We like to go on our own tours.:)

They will tell you that there are ruins on Cozumel, but they aren't much compared to the ones on the mainland. I rented a car twice recently from the pier. Used Alamo and they were fine. I think it might be a bit cheaper to rent one over the internet. Driving was pretty easy on Cozumel but drive carefully. Had to park several blocks from the water in town, but no problem. We liked the walk .

My family and I went to the ruins in Cozumel. They are not as physically impressive as the ones on the mainland, but they are quite interesting. We rented a car from Hertz which is in the next cruise terminal down the street. We really lucked out on the car because we reserved the cheapest, smallest thing they had, but when we went to pick it up, they were all out of the cheap ones, so we got a cool jeep instead.
