$hip$hape Posted January 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2013 From a news article dated January 1, 2013 : TEAM Ports & Maritime has won a contract to design, manufacture, assemble, transport and install of two HYDRA Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York. The gangways will provide seamless access for cruise guests from cruise terminal building to Norwegian Cruise Line'’s new Norwegian Breakaway. njhorseman Posted January 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2013 If they're not ready the ship will have to drop some its lifeboats into the Hudson River before docking and retrieve them when the ship departs like the Epic had to when it briefly visited NY after coming to the US from Europe. This will cause significant delays in both arrivals and departures, which is something no one will want to happen. we better hope the new gangways are ready...and that Bermuda has made the repairs and enhancements to Heritage Wharf that are needed for the ship to dock there.
