Need advice: Opinion about NCL Spirit and other cruise lines

We are thinking of the Thanksgiving week cruise out of NYC on the NCL Spirit. We have only done the Norway NCL ship (long long time ago) and usually book other cruise lines eg. Princess, RCCL, Holland. Will we see the same calibre of ship like the other lines? We are taking my mother (in her 80s) with us.

 

Anyone who has sailed with NCL Spirit and can compare it to Princess, RCCL?

Also appreciate people's opinion abou the Spirit ship in general.
