Reserve a spot at Port Canaveral??

Just saw the reserved parking portion of the Port Website. Do we have to reserve a spot? Last time we went out of there we just went in to the deck and that was it. We are staying at the Best Western and they give you a coupon for parking. Don''t want to pay full price now. Can you still drive in and park near the terminal?

our beloved port authority decides to confuse the parking issue yet again ... gotta luv 'em

I just made a dummy request as if I was leaving on FREEDOM a week from tomorrow, returning the first Sunday in Feb and asked for "everything available"

I get offered 8 days of "self parking" at $15 a day - $120 and it asks if I want to reserve ....

I don't see anything different from just driving up. I've not heard of the port running out of spaces - their recent debacle originated because of how many EMPTY spaces they had.

Looks like tom-foolery to me . . .
