Help, first disney cruise and we have a stop at their private island and was wondering... do you have to rent chairs and umbrealls? What is there to do, we are bringing our 6 year grandson

Wondering what to expect and if we should book anything ahead of time.

Umbrellas & chairs are plentiful and free. There are cabanas (a few, and pricey), but they usually book up at the 120 day mark by Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club members.

On the DCL site hover over the "Cruises & Destinations" tab. Click on "Port Adventures". On the right hand side of that page is a pull down menu for ports. Select "Castaway Cay" and click "go". There will be a list of all paid excursions available. Included in the cruise, you can go swimming as you like, Pelican Plunge (water slides), and the kids club will have an area set up on the island with activities.

There's also Cookies (buffet), also included in your cruisefare.

There are shops (you use your KTTW card to make purchases) as well as a bar.

:)
