We have cruised Carnival and we get certain perks on Holland America?

You automatically become '1' star mariners because of your past Carnival cruises but you don't get credit for any of those days and as far as I know you only get to eat at the mariners embarkation lunch and a few more perks. Here is the information from Hal's web site.

We are first time cruisers with HAL.

Do we get any 'perks' from having sailed on other Carnival Brand ships ie Platinum members with both Cunard and Princess, and if so, how do we go about securing such please?

Great Question Cosmic Rays-We are Platinum with Cunard and informed HAL of this. We did not receive any special loyalty "perks", but feel HAL is a wonderful brand and we are quickly accumulating loyalty points and thus "perks" with them now.

See post #2. They will be the same.

It does not make any difference what status you are on Cunard, Princess, Costa, Carnival or Seabourn -- the only perks you get is being able to go to the main dining room on embarkation day for lunch, an invite to the Mariner's Brunch near the end of the cruise, the gift mentioned is a "tile" -- looks like these (which you get at the brunch):
