cruise or land vacation with 8mo old

we love cruising, just had a baby and want a great vacation checking out costa rica,hawaii,dominic republic etc

 

this will be our last vacation for a while,

what do you think is best for a lil one???

 

i wanted a disney cruise but hubby wasnt for it

we also have a 12 year old

 

any suggestions on where to go? been to hawaii so many times wanted somewhere new

 

open to anything

really like all inclusives

I think to keep both the baby and teen happy- you may want to opt for an all inclusive that has onsite babysitting and youth programs. A Hotel room will give you more room to spread out. That's just my opinion because both my boys were crawling by 8 months and I wouldn't want them crawling around a ship.

 

Royal Caribbean does offer a drop in type babysitting service in the youth program but that may or may not work for you. I know my child would probably not have settled down to sleep in a noisy nursery- so I probably wouldn't have felt good about that type of situation.

 

I'm only answering honestly- since you asked about which option is better- I'd do an all-inclusive personally because most hotels do allow babies in the pool with swim diapers. They absolutely can't use the pools on cruise ships.
